Autumn Favourites - The Best Autumn Romance Reads 🍂📚

What a season it's been! I've picked up so many incredible books these past couple of months, I'm genuinely feeling like Oprah over here!

                                           📚

SOUL SEARCHING - LYLA SAGE

My official review on Goodreads genuinely just says:

"CROWNING LYLA SAGE THE OFFICIAL QUEEN OF SMALL TOWN SPOOKY SEXY AUTUMN FOR 2025 HOT DAMN ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️" 😂

When I tell you this is the perfect spooky, nostalgic romance to pick up in October, please believe me. I absolutely adored the atmosphere, the main characters, the spice, everything! If you want to escape to a small haunted town, visit abandoned places and creepy woods, hang out in antique shops, communicate with ghosts and fall in love with a handsome refurbisher - pick this up!

TOURIST SEASON - BRYNNE WEAVER

If you want a fun, spicy, serial killer romance that'll have you laughing out loud - look no further. This was my first experience with Brynne Weaver and I'm absolutely going to go and binge her other books now!

What happens when two serial killers meet in a small, almost hallmark-like town with a grisly secret? Well, murder, of course, but more unexpectedly, laugh out loud moments and sizzling tension and chemistry. Brynne has somehow done what I would have thought impossible, she's made a hallmark movie full of sex and murder, and it works!

PEOPLE WATCHING - HANNAH BONAM-YOUNG

An introverted, small town woman living for everyone other than herself, letting life pass her by as she cares for her mother, meets a tattooed, borderline nymphomaniac golden retriever of a man who wants to show her exactly what she's been missing out on. People watching was 50% heart, depth and healing, and 50% hot hot hot. Which is the perfect balance, in my opinion!

MATE - ALI HAZELWOOD

Okay, so Mate isn't technically an Autumnal book, but it's a paranormal romance so I felt like it fit in here. I've been strictly a vampire girl since I was about 14, which means for over half of my life I have been team vampire. The wolf thing has never done it for me, I even contemplated skipping this book because of that, despite being a die-hard Ali Hazelwood fan. I only decided to give it a chance when I saw we had Teddy Hamilton narrating the audiobook, in duet style which is my all time favourite. I should have known if anyone had the power to convert me, even if only for one book, that it would be Ali. AWOOOOOOO I absolutely ATE this up.

LOVE AT FIRST FRIGHT - NADIA EL-FASSI

I guessed going into this that I would love it. I read Best Hex Ever by Nadia last October and absolutely loved it, so I was eagerly awaiting the publication of Love at First Fright!

Set for the most part in a haunted manor house in England, during the run up to Halloween, the atmosphere is beyond perfect. This is another book where our main character can communicate with ghosts, and I'll eat that trope up every time. We have enemies to lovers, forced proximity, plus size fmc deliciousness bound together by naughtiness and banter and I'm beyond obsessed with it. If you haven't started your Nadia El-Fassi journey yet, this is your sign to rectify that!

Have you read any of these? If you have, what did you think of them?

Will any of these be making their way onto your TBR? Let me know below!
