If the changing season has you longing for potions, spells and sisterhood, here are some recommendations to romanticise your days. Starting, of course, with the books -
- Rewitched by Lucy Jane Wood - a book about a witch turning 30 who must prove her magic to her coven or risk losing it forever. Found family, slow burn romance, girlhood.
- Uncharmed by Lucy Jane Wood - following a perfectionist witch who’s charmed life gets thrown off kilter when she has to mentor a troubled teenage witch. Found family, self discovery, slow burn.
- Best Hex Ever by Nadia El-Fassi - about a London based kitchen witch navigating her cursed love life. Forced proximity, maid of honour x best man, bisexual rep.
- The Ex Hex by Erin Sterling - set in Georgia following a witch who hexed her ex. Second chance romance, enemies to lovers, talking cat.
- Loves a Witch by Tricia O’Malley - set in a magical small Scottish town following a witch tasked with breaking the curse on her bloodline. Second chance romance, he falls first, returning home.
- Practical Magic by Alice Hoffman – a 90’s classic following the Owens sisters as they navigate life and love as witches. Nostalgia, sisterhood, female empowerment.
- A Discovery of Witches by Deborah Harkness – about a spellbound witch and a centuries old vampire drawn together by a very special manuscript. Set against the stunning backdrop of Oxford in the autumn and the gorgeous Bodleian library. Forbidden love, chosen one, protective mmc.
Speaking of a discovery of witches and practical magic, lets move on to film and tv recommendations for when you feel like putting your books down and having a cosy movie night.

In my humble opinion, every witch needs a shelf full of crystals - and for that I have to recommend my best friend Alicia from Constellation Crystals. Her crystals are always high quality, responsibly sourced and fairly priced. Pretty much every crystal you ever see in my content came from her! She holds regular live sales over on Instagram, and you can watch her curating mystery boxes over on TikTok!
Hopefully that's enough to get all of you cosy witches started in enjoying the season to it's fullest! Feel free to leave your own personal recommendations in the comments below, whether that be for books, movies, music, or your favourite small business!
Stay cosy, friends!
